Which fairy tale do you like the best?
Hans Christian Andersen is known all over the world. I used to read his literary fairy tales when I was a child. What made him so imaginative? There are many lessons we can learn in the stories although I didn’t understand at that time.
The other day I visited Odense, the birthplace of H.C.Andersen, for the first time. Odense is one of the oldest cities in Denmark but a developed city with the light rail opened in 2022.
There is H.C.Andersen Hus Museum in this town. This museum is designed by Kengo Kuma, a Japanese architect. I never thought I would find his architecture in Denmark. He is the designer of the National Stadium in Tokyo, which was built for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. You will experience Andersen’s world of fairy tales in a special space there.
