Driverless Metro

The Copenhagen Metro is one step ahead of Japan. It’s driverless and operates 24/7.

Although the first Tokyo Metro opened in 1927, which is about 75 years earlier than the Copenhagen Metro, verification tests for automating has not even carried out.

More surprising thing is that trains aboveground as well as metro in Copenhagen will be fully automated in 2029 at the earliest.

Can you imagine the future cityscape?
